Rocks, Water, Trees Many of these works were developed during a two-month residency in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, in 2021. The paintings recall and reconstruct places that I frequented; a backwoods pond, a forest trail, a far shore. Daily plein air painting fed directly into the larger canvases. Collage brought them into conversation with painters who had preceded me.
