Rocks Water Trees
A two-month residency in Pouch Cove, Newfoundland, in 2021, generated this body of work, where daily plein air painting of the places I frequented fed directly into larger studio canvases. Collage further expanded these impressions, bringing the work into conversation with painters who had preceded me in working with Atlantic light. The paintings were exhibited in "Rocks Water Trees" at MKG127 in Toronto.
